May the Mind of Christ My Savior

May The Mind of Christ, My Savior
"Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus ..." Philippians 2:5
As I thought about the hymn I want to share with you on this August Lord's Day, the words of this one seem to be so appropriate. It is a prayer hymn, and I can't help but believe that if we really want to see God answer this prayer, how our personal lives and churches could be so radically different:
May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling,
All I do and say.
May the word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.
May the peace of God, my Father,
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.
May the love of Jesus fill me,
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing --
This is victory.
May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.
May His beauty rest upon me
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.
Let these words work deep into your soul this morning. Allow Him to fill you with HIMSELF today. -- Bill Welte is President and CEO of America's KESWICK
Dig This Quote: When I am sore beset, I seek some quiet place, Some lonely room or barren windswept hill, And there in silence wait apart until I see again the smile upon God's face; Until His presence floods me like the dawn, And I can hear His whispered, Peace, be still, And know the strength to do His will.I turn to take my load and find it gone. Determined Praying: When people do not mind what God speaks to them in His Word, God doesn't mind what they say to Him in prayer. William Gurnall
