THIS IS MY DOING

"This is my doing." 1 Kings 12:24

It's a day permanently etched in my mind. My CFO came and said the health insurance bill was due and we didn't have the resources to pay the bill = $25,000.

The Board had made a decision that we would no longer borrow money to pay our bills, but we would trust God for HIS supply. No line of credit! No bank loan. Where do you turn for the resources? God!

We called the staff together for pray, to cry out to God for His provision. A friend made a $25,000 loan, but said "the real deal will arrive on Friday -- trust HIM!"

Friday came, and Friday went. No provision. No check falling from the sky.

Saturday morning was a Board meeting. I was not looking forward to this meeting. I was discouraged and despondent. I sat down to have my quiet time and this was the verse that morning: "This is my doing!" I would be lying to you if I said I didn't chuckle sarcastically to the Lord, "Well thanks alot, Lord."

I pressed on and read the reading from STREAMS IN THE DESERT and came to this passage: Are you having problems with money, finding it hard to make ends meet? "This is My doing," for I am the One who keeps your finances, and I want you to learn to depend upon ME! MY SUPPLY IS LIMITLESS and "I will meet all your needs" (Philippians 4:19). I want you to prove My promises so no one may say "You did not trust in the Lord your God." (Deut. 1:32)

I packed up my stuff and went over to breakfast. Dr. Eric Crichton, a giant of the faith, asked to speak with me in my office. He and his wife came back and wanted me to tell them how much the health insurance bill was. I told him $25,000, and with that he sat down in the chair and said, "I have something amazing to tell you."

On Thursday he received a call from a dear lady that he had introduced to America's KESWICK. She told him that she was wiring money into his account and asked that he please take it to America's KESWICK on his next visit. On Friday he went to the bank to transfer the money to his checking account. The teller told him the amount: $25,000!!! The "real deal" had indeed arrived on the exact day!

The most amazing part of that story is that this dear lady lives in France! How did she know? God had laid on her heart at precisely the right time the need for her to send the gift to America's KESWICK.

Every year we have had miracles in regards to our health insurance. This year we were facing a similar challenge. What seemed like an impossible situation, has once again turned into another miracle!

I tell you that to remind you that YOU have a GOD who is able to take care of you in ways you can't begin to even imagine. He is interested in displaying HIS power and glory in YOUR life. Are you willing to trust HIM? -- Bill Welte is President and CEO of America's KESWICK
