Beware

BEWARE

" ... in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes." 2 Corinthians 2:11

The older I get and the more deeply entrenched I become in the ministry of America's KESWICK, the more I am understanding that we need to be aware that there is an enemy that is on the rampage. Men: we need to be aware of his schemes. It isn't about looking under every rock to see him lurking there ... but we need to be aware that he is alive and well and is "seeking to steal, kill and destroy." (John 10:10)

In his powerful book, FIGHT (Waterbrook Press), author, speaker and pastor, Kenny Luck, outlines what Jesus has said about this enemy of our
souls:

1. He has a murderous intent. (John 8:39-41)

2. He lies and deceives to justify evil actions. (John 8:44)

3. He practices self-interest and self-gratification at other's expense.
(John 10:10-13)

4. He uses mental diversion and distraction to eliminate spiritual transformation. (Luke 8:11-12)

5. He uses many words to mask his lack of integrity. (Matthew 5:34-37)

6. He hijacks God's plan through man's passions and self-interests.
(Matthew 16:21-23)

7. He opposes the advance of the gospel in one's life. (Acts 13:7-11)

8. He is synonymous with pride!

9. He is synonymous with death (homicide, suicide, abortion - but also kills relationships, marriages, families, and yes, he is even trying to kill churches!)

10. He is synonymous with out-of-control appetites!

11. He is synonymous with relational separation!

12. He is synonymous with the magnification of negative emotions!

13. He is synonymous with a hurried pace of life!

It's high time we stopped burying our heads in the sand, men! We need to wake up! Get out your Bible and check it out for yourself. We need to be aware of his influence in our lives. I share more on this tomorrow.
Remember this: Satan thinks he is a winner - but he has already been defeated at the Cross! Praise God! - Bill Welte is President and CEO of America's KESWICK.

Think about this: "We need the knowledge about the enemy, his character, presence and power in order to arouse men to action. This knowledge is vital to victory." E. M. Bounds
