Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made – Psalm 139:13-18

 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. [1]
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

I wasn’t going to post this picture yet, but we just welcomed our 8th and 9th grandchildren to our family. Weston James Houston was born on November 14th (bottom right) and Weston Arlin Groen was born this past Thursday.

We have quite the brood. They are all unique and different, and the toddlers are filled with energy without drinking Mountain Dew. Oh that I could bottle up the energy and sell it. I would make more money than the makers of Monster Drinks!

Holding the last two babies in my arms was a reminder that for nine months, our amazing Creator was knitting and fashioning them in the wombs of my daughters. They were “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

I am not sure what God has in store for these kids, but we are praying that at a very early age they will trust Christ as their Savior. Tanner and Emma have already done that. Lindsay is already in heaven waiting for all of us to join her. Who knows … maybe one of them will be the next William Raws or Billy Graham. Or just maybe one of the girls will be the next Damaris Carbaugh or Liz Curtis Higgs. I do know this – God created them for a purpose – just like He did YOU! – Bill Welte is President and CEO of America’s Keswick

Digging Deeper: Proverbs 6; Daniel 3-5; 1 John 5

Dig This Quote: The obsession we sometimes have with our past sins is one of the worst afflictions of the soul, It turns us into victims of our own abuse. This obsession with the past condemns us to forced labor in a cemetery where we are repeatedly exhuming skeletons only to bury them and exhume them again. Albert Haase
