JOY TO THE WORLD!

Joy to the world! the Lord IS come; Let earth receive her King;
Let EVERY heart prepare HIM room,
And heav'n and nature sing!

Joy to the earth! the SAVIOR reigns; Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat their sounding joy!

No more lets and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground;
HE comes to make HIS blessings flow
Far as the curse is found.

HE rules the world with TRUTH and GRACE;
And makes the nations prove
The glories of HIS righteousness
And wonders of HIS love -- and wonders of HIS love.
